Match Notes
This was set to be the final Bulimba Cup match of 1935 and the match to decide who would win the Bulimba Cup. However, Ipswich initially refused to send a team as a protest against the inclusion of Vic Hey in the Toowoomba side. Hey had played the previous match against Brisbane and lead Toowoomba to a win. Toowoomba agreed to forfeit their Cup points against Brisbane, effectively handing the Bulimba Cup to Ipswich. Ipswich agreed to send a team to play Toowoomba but demanded that this match not be deemed as a Bulimba Cup fixture.
Lyn Wood was named as a third centre for this game.
