At the age of 16 he played full back for Cardiff Rugby Union.
On the 26 January 1906 signed for Leeds Rugby League.
He played 159 matches scoring 1 try and 122 goals.
Played two matches for Wales.Played in the Northern Union
Cup Final of 1910 and went on tour to Australia.
