Signed with Manly with his brother Pat both from Lismore at the end of the 1963 season.

After leaving Manly at the end of 1968 he moved to Dubbo and played with Dubbo CYMS where he was instrumental in their first premiership in 1969 and again in 1971.

He later became General Manager of the local Council and worked there until his retirement in 2004.
