With 8 minutes to go in the 1st half & Canterbury leading 18-0 the game was halted and players directed to leave the field to due to a large storm in the area with the threat of lightning strikes.
The delay lasted for 25 minutes and players then returned to the field to continue the 1st half the half time break was reduced from 15 to 12 minutes.
