Ron Leis was one of the best rugby league players in his era. A Balmain junior throughout his childhood dreamt of playing big league. He would have been chosen to represent Australia if he hadnt broken his arm badly during a game against St George.Predominately he played the position of fullback, excellently, however he was versatile being able to play most positions well.
